A unique opportunity to relive the 'Swans' meteoric climb from the 4th to the 1st Division, in a record 4 seasons.

Following Manager Harry Griffiths' resignation in February of 1978, John Toshack arrived ath the 'Vetch' - and the scene was thus set for one of the most dramatic rises in British footballing history.

The story is told using rare archive footage of the most memorable games - including Toshack's debut for the Club, against WATFORD; Fourth Division promotion match against HALIFAX; League cup action with TOTTENHAM; Third Division challenge with CHESTERFIELD; Second Division thrillers versus NEWCASTLE and CHELSEA and the ultimate promotion push at PRESTON - when 10,000 Swansea supporters decended on 'Deedale'.

Incorporating interviews with Toshack, star players and the legendary Bill Shankley; and culminating in shots of the 'Swans' triumphant Bus-Top ride through Swansea following promotio, this is an historic record of the thrills and excitement of the realisation of their First Division dreams......

Swansea City FC - The Golden Years Part 2

On 29th August 1981, 23,489 spectators filled the 'Vetch' for the 'Swans' first game in Division one. As Toshack led out his million-pound team, few could have predicted the 90 minutes that were to follow....

The 5-1 beating of Leeds United signalled the arrival of a club who six years previously had to apply to the Football League for re-election.

Throught that historic season the 'Swans' were never out of the top six, and were the leading club in the land on three consecutive occations.

In celebration of that incredible achievement, this DVD follows the 'Swans' progress through the season. Highlights of the greatest matches - including those against Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Manchester City; and archive interviews with the players of the day.

'The Golden Years' - Part 2 concludes the 'swans' momentous journey from the Fourth to the First Division - an achievement that will never be forgotten, and rarely equalled.
